This autobiography of a famous ultrarunner and vegan has inspired me … never to run a dangerous and scary ultra where you could fall off the edge of a mountain or even have to scramble up anything (an ultra is anything over the 26.2 miles of the marathon and there are nice road-based ones which I probably will eventually tackle. Lina was passionate and explosive with everything that she did and made me want to be bolder with my life. Now, there were other things that happened so this book was in no means boring, but I appreciated that the characters could build on their relationship and discuss misconceptions before the famed, end goal wedding. The fake dating trope was amazing! I thought we were going to jump right into the wedding, but Armas gave us some time to get the know the two characters before diving right in. ![]() It had passion, romance, and my beautiful Spain so how could I say no? This book could have chewed me up and spit me out and I still would have loved it. ![]() |
